The Pieces are Being Sewn March 31, 2009

Filed under: Artists, Uncategorized — quiltersinbloom @ 1:54 pm

Since our original post we have been working hard to get the pieces ready for the big show and I must say they are fitting together nicely.

We have 8 private gardens lined up for you to visit and each garden will have a fantastic display in it.

There will be quilts (of course) new and old, water colour paintings, redwork, antique yo-yo’s, a collection of aprons and rughooking demos, natural soaps and beeswax candles…there is so many different things I’m sure I must have missed something!

Tickets are on sale now at Tasty Treats & Treasures in Clinton and Quilters By The Square in Goderich.  They are $12.00 each and that includes access to all 8 of the gardens and a tour of the school car.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there will be a marketplace with various vendors too…

We still have room for more vendors at the marketplace if you would like to participate.  Contact Nancy at Tasty Treats & Treasures for more information.

There is a variety of fantastic eateries in Clinton, or pack a lunch and have a picnic at Sloman Park.

Clinton is located on the beautiful west coast of Ontario, just a short drive to or from Goderich and lake Huron.

What is Quilters In Bloom, you ask?

It is a fundraising event to raise money for the Sloman School Car http://http://www.schoolcar.ca/ in Clinton Ontario Canada.  This event will be held on July 18 2009.

There will be 6 gardens in and around Clinton filled with quilts, on display and some for sale, as well as various other artists, including painters, sculpters and even possibly a mime!

Check back often to follow along with us as we put the finishing touches on what is sure to be a fantastic show!
